"Sad day" or "Warm Tummy & Cold Feet"
Hi everyone,
I just wanted to let you all know that a sad day just passed this weekend, a dear friend of mine had it's throat slit some how. I'll find the culprit, this I vow! Unfortunately, my best friend that kept me warm those "cold, frigid" nights down under (with south-facing window), has passed away. Alas, not even I could prevent the circle of life from taking my hot-water bottle.
Yes, my hot-water bottle saved me many a night from the bone chilling 5C night time temperatures of Wollongong. I would put it in my bed about 10 minutes before going to sleep under the covers at the foot of my bed, then as I got into bed, I would pull it up to hug, just like a teddy bear as I awaited my dreams of Mary back home. In the morning, it would still be warm, and I would still be cozy.
I just bought a new hot-water bottle Wednesday morning, it's a better colour (blue - old one was yellow), but it just wont be the same, the great times, the great memories. Oh well, time to move on, but no time to forget. So, yellow water-bottle from Australia, you are now forever immortalized in blog, you are for everyone to remember, and not just for my own memory.
Viva YWB! Viva! (insert tear drop here)
The Cool AGE:)
